MINA FEINGOLD
Mina Feingold Fransız bir heykeltraş. 1989 yılında sinemada izlediği, Camille Claudel hakkında
bir filmden etkilenerek hayatının yönünü değiştiren Feingold için anıtsal eserler meydana
getirmek yeri doldurulamaz bir tutku. “Kuaför” ismini verdiği 1990 tarihli ilk eserinden
beri gerçek modellerle çalışan ve kadın bedenini heykelleriyle yeniden yaratan Mina Feingol, kariyerinin 20. yılında ilk kez bir erkek figürüne ilgi duydu: Bu, bir semazen figürüydü.
Semazenlerin, yoğun konsantrasyon duygusunun getirdiği muhteşem bir denge ile saatlerce
dönebilmelerinden çok etkilenen Feingold “Dönen Derviş” adlı, 7 metre yüksekliğindeki eserini 2010 yılında tamamladı. “Dönen Derviş” ile , kelimelerle ifade etmesi güç transa geçme
hissini dünyaya anlatmak isteyen heykeltraş, bu güçlü duyguyu heykelin devasa boyutuyla
betimlediğini söylüyor. Plastik malzemeden oluşan, 5 ton ağırlığındaki heykelin yapımı, 4
kişinin yardımı ile 3,5 ay sürdü. Heykelin yapım sürecinde Mevlana felsefesi ve mistisizmle
yakından ilgilenen Mina Feingold’un en büyük hayali, heykelini bu felsefenin doğduğu topraklarda, Türkiye’de sergilemek. Mina Feingold Eylül ayında açılışı gerçekleştirilen, UNICEF’in
Türkiye’deki 60. Hizmet yılı çalışmaları kapsamında düzenlenen “Stars of İstanbul” sergisine,
tasarladığı dervişlerle bezeli yıldızıyla katıldı.
Feingold son olarak International Art Center’ın 30 Kasım-4 Aralık tarihleri arasında
gerçekleşen Miami Solo bünyesinde segilenen seçkisine, “La Renversée de Diane” adlı
eseriyle katıldı.

Mina Feingold est une sculpteuse. En 1989 lorsqu’elle voit au cinéma un film sur la vie de Camille Claudel, elle est très touchée et elle prend le chemin de l’atelier. Pour Feingold, travailler sur des scupltures monumentaux est
une grande passion. Depuis Sa Première Œuvre En 1990 - Coiffeuse -, Les Créations De Mina Feingold Tournent Autour De La Féminité. Debout, À Genoux, Allongées… Elle Joue Avec Les Formes Féminines Tout En Souplesse Et En
Volupté. Pourtant, En 2010 Pour Ses 20 Ans, Elle Choisit Pour La Première Fois De Sculpter Un Homme. Un Derwich De 8 Mètres De Haut. Impressionnée Et Passionnée Par Leur Maitrise De La Danse Et La Transe Dans Laquelle
Ils Entrent Leur Permettant De Tourner Pendant Près De Deux Heures. A Travers Cette Œuvre, Elle Voudrait Transmettre Au Monde Cette Passion, Matérialiser Un Sentiment Difficile À Exprimer Et Pourtant Si Fort. Mina
Transmet Alors Ses Émotions À Travers La Grandeur Et Le Côté Imposant De Ce Géant. Lors la période de création de Derwish, Feingold s’est beaucoup interessée au philosophie de Mevlana et du mysticisme et elle reve
d’exposer son Derwish en Turquie.
En septembre, Mina Feingold a participé au projet ‘Stars of Istanbul’, organisé dans le cadre des célébrations de la 60eme année d’activité d’UNICEF, avec une étoile couvert des derwiches. Dèrnierement, elle a pris part à Miami
Solo, entre le 30 Novembre-le 4 Décembre, dans le cadre de la sélection spécial d’International Art Center, avec son oeuvre “La Renversée de Diane”.

Mina Feingold, changed her life for becoming a sculptor the night after she had seen a movie about Camille Claudel. After her first work, “Coiffeur”, which she made in 1990, she continued making female figures. She didn’t work
on abstract themes and she prefered making figurative sculptures. But, with her latest work, her norms changed. Her work, titled “Derwish”, is her first male figure in her entire career. In Derwish, a seven meter tall sculpture
weighing five tons, of which she made two smaller versions In 2010, Feingold wanted to reflect the state of being in a trance. Through “Derwish”, she would pass this passion on the world and materialise this sentiment strong
and difficult to express. She took part in “Stars of Istanbul” exhibition, started in september with the participation of UNICEF which celebrated its 60. Years of activities in Turkey. Lately, she took place at the MIAMI SOLO
exhibition (30th November -4th December 2011) with her work “La Renversée de Diane” as part of International Art Center’s special selection.
