Misyonumuz ve vizyonumuz
MİSYONUMUZ
Yaratıcı, etik, stratejik ve sürdürülebilir sosyal sorumluluk projeleri geliştirip, çevreye, insana ve topluma artı değerler katıp daha iyi bir dünya ve insanlık yararına
çalışmak.
VİZYONUMUZ
• Çalışmalarımız ile toplumdaki kurumların sosyal sorumluluk olgusunu
yaygınlaştırmak ve daha duyarlı, daha katılımcı bir yapı geliştirmek.
• Sivil toplum, kurum ve kuruluşlar arasında köprüler kurup ortak projelerin
geliştirilmesine öncülük etmek.
• Geliştirdiğimiz projelerimiz ile model oluşturmak ve referans gösterilen bir sosyal
sorumluluk kurumu olmak.
HEDEF VE DEĞERLERİMİZ
Limasol Sosyal Sorumluluk Kurumu, nihai sonuca odaklı, uzun dönemli, kalıcı faydalar sağlayacak, toplum, dünya, birey ve çevre yararına dinamik stratejik kararlar ve
uygulamalar bütünlüğünü oluşturmak için çalışır.
KKTC’deki ilk sosyal sorumluluk kurumu olan, Limasol Sosyal Sorumluluk Co.
sürdürülebilir daha iyi bir yaşam ve dünya için çalışmaktadır. Farklı uzmanlar
eşliğinde gerçekleştirdiği projelerle toplum ve doğayı iyileştirmek için çevresel, kültürel ve sosyal gelişmeye destek olmayı hedefler.
Bu doğrultuda ilerlerken değerlerini belirleyen noktalar:
• Ahlaka, etik değerlere ve yasalara önem
vermek.
• Fark yaratmak.
• İnsana, çevreye, kültüre, sanata, spora

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to develop creative, ethical, strategic and sustainable social responsibility projects. To provide added value to the environment, to people and to the community in order to work for a better world and therefore benefit humanity.
OUR VISION
• To broaden the social responsibility dimension of institutions in the community
and develop a more sensitive, more participatory structure through our work.
• To lead the way in creating bridges between civil society, institutions and organizations with a view to develop common projects.
• To create a benchmark model with the projects we develop and to be the point of
reference as a social responsibility organization for other insititutions wishing to
undertake CSR.
OUR AIMS AND VALUES
Limassol Social Responsibility Co. focuses on its ultimate outcome which is to establish a dynamic strategic decision making apparatus and processes that as a whole will
provide long-term and sustainable benefits to The community, The world, The individual and The environment.
Limassol Social Responsibility Co. is the first social responsibility organization to be
established in the TRNC, it has continued working to improve living conditions and
create a sustainable and better world. Working in partnership with a variety of experts
for the programs it develops, its aim are the betterment of society and nature by supporting environmental, cultural and social develoment.
As it moves forward in this direction, its code of ethics are:
• To attach importance to moral and ethical
values;
• To create a positive difference;
• To attach importance to people, the environment, culture, art and sports;
• To increase awareness of sustainability issues;
• To provide and support effective teamwork;
• To work on the basis of a scientific approach
with experts from various diseplins;

Kurumu’nun Çalışma Alanları
Limasol Sosyal Sorumluluk Kurumu ÇEVRE, SAĞLIK, KÜLTÜR SANAT ve SPOR
alanlarında sosyal sorumluluk projeleri geliştirip uygulamanın yanı sıra çok önemli
iki projesini hayata geçirmek için de yoğun bir çalışma içerisindedir:
• Kültürel mirasın devamı için Kültür Mirasının Korunması Programını oluşturmuş,
• Kültür ve sanatı desteklemek için de Limasol Bankası Kültür Yayınlarını
kurmuştur.

Kıbrıs tarih boyunca çok kültürlülüğe ev sahipliği yapmış zengin bir tarihe sahiptir.
Adada kültürel mirasın korunması için;
»» Müze kurmak,
»» Sergi – konser – konferans salonları açmak ve
»» Yerel sanatçıların eserlerinin korunmasının yanı sıra,
»» Kültürel Miras ve Çocuk Programları,
oluşturmak için farklı çalışmalar yürütmekteyiz.
Ülkemizde müze ve galeri anlayışını değiştirecek, turistlerin yanı sıra yerli halka
ve özellikle de çocuklara yönelik özel gezilerin, sohbetlerin ve atölye çalışmalarının
yürütüleceği, yaşam boyu eğitimin destekleneceği, etkin kullanımlı müze, galeri, ve
kültür salonları kurmak için çalışmaktayız.
Limasol Bankası Kültür Yayınları
Kıbrıs’la ilgili veya Kıbrıslı yazarların, şairlerin,
öykücülerin, araştırmacıların, akademisyenlerin
çalışmalarına öncelik vermeyi benimseyen yayınevimiz
kültür sanata destek vermek amacıyla kurulmuştur.
İlk yayınımızı 2013 Ağustos ayında KKTC 1.
Cumhurbaşkanı Sn. Rauf Denktaş’ın kendisine
ait Kıbrıs kapılarının fotoğraflarını içeren ve Sn.
Denktaş’ın fotoğrafçılığı üzerine bilgiler aktardığı
KAPILAR kitabıyla gerçekleştirdik.
Ticari bir yayınevi olmayan Limasol Bankası Kültür Yayınları yılda iki kitap
basmayı hedeflemektedir.

In addition to developing and implementing programs in the areas of
ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, CULTURE, ART and SPORTS, Limassol Social
Responsibility Co. is in the process of realising two very important projects.
• The Program for the Protection of Cultural Heritage has been set up to ensure
sustainability of the cultural heritage.
• Limassol Bank Culture Publications has been set up to support culture and art.

Throughout its rich history Cyprus has hosted many different cultures,
therefore we believe that the protection of this cultural heritage of the
island requires the realisation of the following projects;

»» Opening exhibition, concert and conference halls,
»» Preservation of the artworks of local artists,
»» Cultural Heritage and Children’s Programs,
We are in the process of working on changing the understanding of museums and galleries in our country, by setting up museums, galleries and
cultural spaces that will provide opportunities not only for tourists, but
for the local people as well and children in particular, to participate in
specialized tours, conversations and workshops that support lifelong learning.
Limassol Bank Culture Publications
Limassol Bank Culture Publications is not a commercial publishing house. It aims
to publish two books a year and it has been
established to support Art and Culture by giving priority to the publication of works relevant
to Cyprus or works by Cypriot writers, poets,
storytellers, researchers and academics.
Our first publication in August 2013 was the
book the DOORS which consisted of photographs of the doors of Cyprus taken by the first
President of the TRNC, H.E. Mr. Rauf Denktaş,
in addition this also provided information
about Mr. Denkaş’s photography.

by the administration of Limassol Turkish Cooperative Bank and thereafter the required permissions
were obtained resulting in the official establishment
of LSR.Co in 2011.

Law and with the appropriate ministerial authorization, the articles of association of the company and
its by-laws as a non-profit company were registered
under Registration No. MŞ 14761.
• The number of founding members is 12 and they are
real and legal persons:

• Administration and management organs:
• These are the General Board, General Assembly and/

up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 11 full

• An Alternative Board of Directors can be made up
with a maximum of 2 associate, substitute members

by the Board of Directors, either from within the
organization of the Company, or if the need arises
from amongst professionals outside the company.

Limasol Sosyal Sorumluluk Kurumu’nun 2012,
Mart ayından beri süren çalışması çocukların iletişim becerisini geliştirip özgüvenlerini kuvvetlendirmeyi amaçlıyor. Projenin oluşum aşamasında çocuk
kitabı yazarları, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi, İletişim
ve Eğitim Fakülteleri’nden akademisyenler, çocuk tiyatrosu uzmanları ve Milli Eğitim, Gençlik ve Spor
Bakanlığı’ndan uzman psikolog ve ilköğretim uzmanları ile beraber çalışılmıştır.
Yaratıcı Okuma
Projenin daha etkili olabilmesi için dört ayrı koldan
ilerleyen çalışmaların bir bacağı “yaratıcı okuma”
adını verdiğimiz sınıf ortamında yapılan çalışmalardan oluşuyor. Gönüllü sanatçılarla beraber yürütülen
bu çalışmalarda okuma/yazma/dinleme/drama gibi
çoklu çalışmalar yürütüyoruz. Kimi sınıflarda çocuklar okudukları kitabın yazarı ile tanışıp kitap hakkında sohbet ediyor ardından da kitabın karakterlerine
bürünüp drama çalışmaları yapıyorlar, kimi yaratıcı
okuma çalışmalarında ise okuduğunu resme, gördüğü resimleri de yazıya dönüştürme gibi işbirlikçi çalışmalar uyguluyoruz. Bazı sınıflarda ise evrensel bir
dil olarak kabul edilen klasik müzik hakkında bilgiler
aktarıp, çocukları Vivaldi ile tanıştırıyoruz.
Çocuk Tiyatrosu
“Bir Dünya Daha Var” projemizin üçüncü bacağında da çocukları tiyatro ile buluşturuyoruz. Bir
yılı aşkın bir süredir arkadaşlığın önemini anlatan
“İki Bavul Dolusu” çocuk oyunu ile ilkokulları dolaşıyor, festivallere katılıyoruz.
Konferanslar
Çalışmalarımızın bir diğer bacağında ise ilkokul
öğretmenlerine yönelik eğitici konferanslar düzenliyoruz. “Doğru” kitap seçimlerini ve iletişim zorluğu
çeken çocuklara yaklaşım biçimlerini konu alan konferanslarda, uzmanlar görüşlerini bildirdikten sonra
öğretmenlerle bir araya gelip konuları detaylı bir şekilde tartışabilecekleri platformlar oluşturuyoruz.
Çocuklara bırakabileceğimiz iki önemli miras vardır; “biri kökler diğeri de kanatlardır” söylemi ile
yürüttüğümüz çalışmalarımızda çocuklarla beraber
olmak onların sevgisinin yanı sıra güvenlerini de kazandığımızı görmek ve yetkili uzman kişilerin ağzından projemizi daha geniş kitlelere taşıyıp devam
ettirmemiz gerektiğini duymak bizi mutlu ediyor.

A Note from the Managing Consultant
Towards a Deeply Rooted Future:
Limassol Social Responsibility Co.
The aim of the work that Limassol Social Responsibility Co. has been doing since March 2012 is to
strengthen children’s communication skills as well
as their self-confidence. During the development of
this project, we have worked together with authors of
children’s books, Eastern Mediterranean University’s
Faculties of Communications and Education, experts in Children’s Theater, and also with psychologists and primary school educators from the TRNC’s
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
Creative Reading
To ensure that the project is more effective, our
work takes the form of four components. The first
component, “creative reading”, is being administered in a classroom environment. Working with
volunteer artists, we are running multidisciplinary
projects incorporating such areas as reading, writing, listening and drama. In some classes we do collaborative work: sometimes the children meet with
the author of the book they have been reading, and
then assume the roles of the book’s characters in a
staged play; while at other times they draw pictures
based on the stories they have read or write stories
about images. In other classes they are given information about the universal language of classical
music and introduced to it through Vivaldi.
Workshops
In the second component, we take children on
visits to galleries and artist’s studios, where they
meet with different artists and also work with them.
Children Theatre
In the third component, children are introduced to
the theater. For more than a year now, the play “Two
Suitcases Full,” which tells a story about the importance of friendship, has been touring the schools as
well as festivals.
Conferances
The fourth component comprises mainly educational conferences designed for primary school
teachers. We organize conferences where teachers
can come together and hear what the experts say
– about choosing “the right” book, or about how
a teacher should approach children with speaking
difficulties – in order to create a platform for detailed discussion of these types of issues.
There are two important legacies we can give to our
children: “One is roots; the oher is wings”. This is the
principle we follow in our projects, and what makes
us happy is being with children and seeing how we
earn not only their love but also their trust; and hearing from the experts that the projects we are doing
are important, and should be developed even further
to reach a much larger audience.

Ayşen Dağlı
Ünvanınız? İnşaat mühendisliği bölümünden
mezun oldum. 1993 yılından beri aktif olarak edebiyatla ( şiir ve masal) ilgilenmekteyim. Yayımlanmış 5’i yetişkinler, 9’u çocuklar için olmak üzere 14
şiir-masal kitabım bulunmaktadır.
Projeyle olan ilişkiniz? ‘Bir Dünya Kitap Var’ konulu sempozyuma konuşmacı olarak katıldım. Ve
daha sonra çeşitli bölgelerdeki ilkokullara giderek,
7-8 yaş grubu çocuklarla masal okumalarında buluşarak devam ettim.
Proje hakkındaki düşünceniz? Bu projeye davet
aldığım zaman hemen evet dediğimi söyleyemeyeceğim; ama İpek hanım öyle tatlı, öyle inançlı, öyle
coşkulu ve kendini sezdiren ama asla rahatsız etmeyen, öyle dozunda bir ısrarla geldi ki kaçmaya çalış-
tımsa da yakalandım.
İyi ki yakalandım.

Bu projenin, toplumun her kesimine hizmet ettiğini ve güzel bir sosyal
sorumluluk örneği oluşturduğunu düşünüyorum.
Hani durgun suya bir taş atarsınız da göbekten başlayan dalgalar birbirini tetikleyerek kıyıya kadar
vurur ya, işte bu proje öyle bir şey diye düşünüyorum. Toplum hayatını çocuklar aracılığıyla güzelleştiriyor, gençleştiriyor ve dinamizmi besliyor.
What’s your professional title? I graduated from
a civil engineering department, but since 1993 I’ve
been interested in literature (poetry and fairytales).
I’ve published 14 poetry-fairytale books, 5 for adults
and 9 for children.
What’s your relationship to this project? I participated as a speaker at the symposium, “There is
a World of Books.” And later I continued with this
work, going to primary schools in different districts
and doing readings of fairytales for children in the
7-8 age group.
What do you think about the project? I can’t say
that I immediately said “yes” when I was invited to
participate; but Ms İpek is so nice and so energetic,
and although she’s such a believer in the project she
never tries to impose her will so when she insisted I
couldn’t resist. I’m glad I got caught up in it.
If you think this project has really achieved something for you, for the children or for society, what
would those achievemens be? I believe this is a good
example of social responsibility which benefits every
part of society. This project is sort of like throwing
a stone into still water, so that ripples start from
the center and spread all the way to the shores. It’s
through children that beauty, youth and dynamism
develop in the life of a society.

Ünvanınız? Çocuk oyunu uzmanı/ yönetmen.
Proje ile ilişkiniz? LSS, Lefkoşa Belediye Tiyatrosu’nun
çocuklar için sahnelenmiş çocuk oyununa destek olmuştur. Böylece lSS’nin katkılarıyla “İki Bavul Dolusu” oyun
binlerce çocukla buluştu. Yaptığımız anlaşma gereğince
bu yıl da oyunumuz sahnelenmeye devam edecektir.
Proje hakkındaki düşünceniz? Sosyal sorumluluk
projesinin bir ayağında olmak tüm derdi çocuklara ve
onların geleceğine dokunmak ve iz bırakmak olan bir
grup gönüllünün yanında olmak son derece tatminkar
bir deneyim oldu. Bir yıl boyunca Ayşen Dağlı’nın çocuk kitabı Süslü’den yola çıkarak okuduğumuzu anlama
oynama ve yorumlama çalışmaları yaptık. İpek Halim’in
bu çalışmalarda bizlerle olması enerjimize enerji kattı. Her çalışmanın
kayıt altında tutulması ise iyi bir arşiv ve geçmişe ışık tutması açısında
çok iyi bir kaynak oldu.
Projenin size, çocuklara ve topluma katkısı olduğunu düşünüyorsanıznedir bu katkılar? Limasol Sosyal
Sorumluluğun sloganı olan ‘kökler
ve kanatlar’ benim çok değer verdiğim bir yaklaşım oldu. Çocukların ayakta sağlam durabilecekleri kökleri olduğunu hatırlatıp uçabilecekleri
kanatlar vermek. İşte bütün amacımız bu. Umarım bu
kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk projesi örnek olur ve imkanı olan herkes taşın altına elini koyar.
What’s your professional title? I’m a director and specialist in children’s theater.
What’s your relationship to this project?
LSR supported the Nicosia Municipality Theaters staging of a children’s play. So with their support thousands
of children were able to see the play “Two Suitcases Full.”
And according to our agreement our play will continue to
be staged this year as well.
What do you think about the project? To be part of a social responsibility project with a group of volunteers where
the sole aim is to touch children and their future and to
make a mark in their lives, this has been a very satisfying
experience. For one year we worked on reading , understanding, acting and interpreting from Ayşen Dağlı’s book
“Süslü.” İpek Halim’s presence at these workshops gave us
even more energy. And recording every workshop has created very good archival material which will shed light on
past experiences.
If you think this project has really achieved something
for you, for the children or for society, what would that achievement be? I felt the approach taken by Limassol Social
Responsibility Co.with their slogan “roots and wings” was
very valuable; reminding children that they have roots so
they can stand stron and giving them wings so they can
fly. That’s our whole purpose. I hope this social responsibility project will become an example and that everyone
who has the means will take on their responsibilities in
the same way.

Consulting, within the framework of my own field.
What do you think about the project? It’s a quality endeavor which can serve as an example for other social responsibility projects. Every detail has been taken care of in consultation with experts in their fields, and a lot of time and
effort has been spent on ensuring its effectiveness with Ms
İpek refining and making sure that it’s implemented with
the upmost rigour. The team members enjoy their work
and are continuing to do it energetically motivated by the
positive effects of interacting with the children.
If you think this project has really achieved something for
you, for the children or for society, what would those achievements be? This project has not only contributed positively to the children; it has also benefited all the others who
have participated. It has proved to be very educational and
fun while at the same time keeping within the boundaries
of scientific work. Furthermore because of its quality, it has
also become an inspirational resource for school environments. I congratulate everyone who has contributed to the
project and hope to see it sustaining itself and also expanding to reach out to the wider society.

Tüm yöneticilerin ve ekip üyelerinin “bu işler böyle

saygınlık ve samimiyet… Gelecek zaman kipinde dünyamız olarak adlandırabileceğimiz çocuklara yönelik katkıların; birer iyilik olmanın ötesinde, bugünün sorumluluğu
olduğunu unutmamalıyız.

Birçok öğrenci profesyonel sanatçıların yer aldığı etkinliklerle ilk kez bu proje sayesinde tanışmış oldular. Kendilerini daha değerli ve üretken hissettiler. Haftanın beş
günü gittikleri ve sıradanlaşan sınıflarının farklı dünyalara
ev sahipliği yapabileceğini gördüler. Okul hayatına dair
algıların ve anlamlandırmaların daha olumlu seyredeceği
kuşkusuz. Aynı zamanda sınıf öğretmenleri de, sınıf içine
taşınabilecek farklı etkinlik örneklerini izlemiş oldular.

Sharing ideas, a lot of appreciation, and participation

What do you think about the project? All the administrators and the team members have an understanding, one
might say that “this is the way to go about doing this kind
of work.” Responsibility, reputability and sincerity. . . We
shouldn’t forget that children are regarded as the future
of our world and so the contribution made to them is
beyond just doing something good for them; they are our
responsibility today .
If you think this project has really achieved something
for you, for the children or for society, what would those
achievemens be? It’s because of this project that a lot of the
students were able to meet for the first time with professional artists, who participated in it. They felt more valuable
and productive. They were able to see that the ordinary
classrooms they went to and sat in for five days a week
could be presenting different worlds to them. So there’s no
question that they’ll perceive and understand school life
more positively. At the same time the teachers were able
to see examples of how different activities can be brought
into the classroom.
