Cement dust can be irritating to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. First Aid Measures Inhaling Take the person who inhaled to fresh air. Call a doctor immediately if there is any difficulty in breathing. Skin Contact Wash the contact area with plenty of water. Refer to a doctor if irritation continues. Eye Contact Open the eyelids wide, wash with plenty of water and seek medical help if discomfort continues. Swallowing Rinse the mouth with plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a doctor immediately. Caution! Seek medical help for discomfort that continues despite carrying the above. Standard methods and extinguishers are enough to put out the fire. For detailed information about firefighting classes, see TS EN 13813 6.Accidental Release Measures 6.1 Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures Use personal protective equipment. Keep unprotected individuals at a distance. Avoid the formation of dust. Provide adequate ventilation. 6.2 Environmental Measures Avoid mixing into the sewer, water or soil. 7. Handling and Storage Consider the following during handling: • Firmly grab the load. • Ensure that the hands, the load and the handles are not slippery. • Keep the feet and the body above the load (or keep the body as close as possible to the front side of the load). • Use the leg muscles while lifting the load. • Keep the back straight. • Ensure the arms are straight and downwards while lifting and carrying the load. Wear protective clothes to avoid any possible discomfort resulting from skin contact of the products during handling. Use forklifts in handling products delivered on palettes or in packages. Ensure that the handling capacity of the forklift is enough, and the forklift operator is licensed and experienced. Pile the products in a dry place in a way that they will not fall down (ensuring that there are a maximum of 20 bags in a pile). Do not store together with acids. Store away from food substances. Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from moisture and water. 8. Exposure Controls / Personal Protection Consider the applicable precautions while working with chemicals. Wear the appropriate FFP2S dust mask in line with TS EN 149 if ventilation is not possible. Eyes Wear Class 2A5 goggles in line with EN 166 to prevent possible contact. Skin Wear full work clothes with the right measurements to prevent repeating skin contact. Hands Wear protective gloves to minimize the effect of irritation. Ensure the protective gloves are impermeable and durable. Consider the puncture time, permeability rate and deformation period of materials used for the gloves. May lead to symptoms such as sneezing and/or coughing by affecting the respiratory tract. Acute toxicity Is not dangerous in normal use.
