PRESS RELEASE 11 MAY 2016 Tuncay Özilhan was awarded Order of the State by Japanese government Anadolu Group Chairman and TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association) High Advisory Council President Tuncay Özilhan, was awarded “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star”. The order is awarded to those who have made distinguished achievements in the following fields: politics, diplomacy, industry, economy, science and culture. Anadolu Group Chairman and TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association) High Advisory Council President Tuncay Özilhan is honored with “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star”, constituting one of the most important orders awarded by Japanese government. Tuncay Özilhan received the order, which is bestowed on those who contributed to Japan’s development in many fields, in Spring 2016. Tuncay Özilhan, after the conferment ceremony held to honor 41 Japanese and 8 foreign recipients, stated that long-term economic and social collaboration between Turkey and Japan gives hope to business world for the following years. Özilhan said that “Our friendship with Japanese society endures for a very long time. Two civilizations continue their relationship with their social values, deep-rooted history and their appreciation of friendship. We have worked with many Japanese partners as Anadolu Group. Current state of affairs makes me more proud. There are many business opportunities in Turkey to be realized with Japan in the medium and long term. I wish that Turkey as one of the prospering countries in the world and Japan as one of the countries directing the world’s economy with its dependable structure will continue to create positive contributions for their economies in the following years.
