By signing the application form you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the North West Academy HOW TO ENROL Students should complete the enrolment form and return it to The North West Academy along with the course booking deposit and accommodation deposit. APPLICATIONS Students who require a visa should send applications at least 4 weeks before the intended start date. Other applications will be accepted up to 2 weeks before the start date. Forms received later than this will be considered at the discretion of the Manager. BOOKING DEPOSIT Applicants should also send a non-refundable booking deposit of £150 when sending an application form. This is required to reserve a place on a course and will be deducted from the total cost. DETAILS OF ENROLMENT Upon receipt of your application form and booking deposit you will be sent enrolment details. VISA STUDENTS A Visa Letter/CAS number will be sent to visa students along with their enrolment details. TUITION FEES Fees must be paid in full before starting the course. These may be paid by cheque (sterling only) or bank transfer. Students may pay by cash however for security reasons we do not accept cash payments by post. North West Academy is not responsible for any bank transfer charges. Please ensure the North West Academy receives the full tuition fees allowing for any bank charges. Please note that fees do not include the cost of examinations or textbooks. CANCELLATION AND WITHDRAWAL In the event of cancellation or withdrawal from a course no refund will be given. If a student visa application is refused the booking deposit will be retained to cover charges already incurred. The remainder of the fees will only be refunded if the student sends a copy of the full visa refusal letter at least 2 weeks prior to the course start date. If a student withdraws from a course for any reason after the start date no refund will given. Students who are obliged to leave due to unforeseen circumstances or in the case of genuine complaints the Managing Director’s decision will be final. COURSES OFFERED The North West Academy reserves the right to alter course dates at short notice if this becomes necessary. North West Academy also reserves the right to cancel any course that is undersubscribed. INSURANCE North West Academy strongly recommends that students arrange personal and medical insurance before arrival. North West Academy does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to students’ personal property, accident or injury however caused or sustained. Fully Comprehensive Medical insurance is obligatory for students who do not come from a country with reciprocal health care arrangements with Britain. ACCOMMODATION + ACCOMMODATION DEPOSIT All accommodation offered by the North West Academy is inspected on a regular basis to ensure good standards. North West Academy endeavours to find students suitable accommodation. The Accommodation officer will assist students with changing accommodation once only. After this a £20 fee will be charged for each additional change. Students are responsible for any damage caused by them to the property or any items in the property. A deposit of £50 is required when booking accommodation. This will be refunded on departure provided the accommodation is undamaged and in a clean state. Any damage to the property or cleaning required after departure will be taken from the deposit. CODE OF DISCIPLINE The North West Academy reserves the right to refuse admission to or dismiss any student in the event of misconduct and no refund will be given. The Managing Director’s decision will be final in such cases. Students enrolled at the Academy are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually. A student has no claim to a refund of fees should the whole or part of a course paid for in advance not be attended. Students are responsible for any damage caused by them to the property or any items in the property.
